Introduction & Scope of Application

BEGA INDIA is dedicated to safeguarding student and candidate privacy across our digital examinations, web applications, and mobile platforms.

This Privacy Policy applies to all candidates, parents, guardians, and institutional users accessing the BEGA INDIA TOPER TEST portal, mobile applications on Google Play Store, and related examination services.
BEGA INDIA is an educational initiative managed by Balmitra Kids Private Limited, registered and operating in Maharashtra, India.
By registering, downloading our application, or accessing the examination portal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and consented to the collection and processing of personal information as outlined in this policy.

Information We Collect & Why

We collect only the minimum necessary academic, contact, and identity information required to conduct verified exams and award scholarships.

Candidate Identity & Academic Details: Full name of the student, gender, date of birth, class/grade (Class 3 to 12 & Competitive group), school name, medium of instruction, and district.
Parent / Guardian Contact Information: Active mobile phone number, WhatsApp contact number, and email address for admit card delivery, exam alerts, OTP verifications, and result announcements.
Authentication & Login Records: Encrypted passwords, auto-generated Candidate User IDs, and session security tokens.
Assessment & Examination Performance: Selected MCQ answers, test completion timestamps, question response logs, total marks obtained, accuracy rates, and state/district benchmark ranking records.
Billing & Payment Records: Order IDs, invoice identifiers, and payment status returned by authorized payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay). We do NOT store complete credit card, debit card, or UPI PIN numbers on our application servers.

Camera & Video Proctoring Surveillance Disclosure

Live camera access is used strictly during examination sessions to maintain state-level exam integrity and prevent malpractice.

Explicit Camera Permission: When a candidate launches a live examination, the browser or mobile application prompts for camera permission (android.permission.CAMERA). Camera access is activated ONLY during active exam attempts.
On-Device Local Proctoring: Video frames are evaluated locally in real-time to confirm candidate presence, prevent unauthorized tab-switching, and detect multiple persons in view.
No Commercial Video Usage: Video feeds are NEVER recorded for commercial monetization, promotional broadcasting, or sale to third parties.
Student Privacy Safeguard: The camera preview remains visible to the student in a floating preview widget so that candidates are always aware of active surveillance status.

All data is processed strictly to deliver fair competitive exams, issue authentic credentials, and disburse state merit scholarships.

Generating and verifying standardized electronic Hall Tickets (Admit Cards) with secure QR codes.
Conducting scheduled daily 8:00 PM MCQ challenge series across all 36 districts of Maharashtra.
Calculating verified merit scorecards, subject breakdowns, and state percentile leaderboards.
Validating candidate eligibility for Gold, Silver, Bronze Trophies, and Cash Scholarship distributions.
Delivering critical administrative SMS alerts (OTP, admission confirmation, exam reminders) via registered DLT-compliant SMS routes.
Providing responsive customer care, technical troubleshooting, and parent inquiry resolutions.

Children's & Student Data Protection (COPPA & DPDP)

Special protections are enforced for primary and secondary school children in compliance with Indian and international privacy standards.

Parental Consent Requirement: Because our learning programs serve students from Class 3 to Class 12, account registration must be performed by or under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Compliance with Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act: Student personal data is treated with heightened fiduciary duty. We do not engage in behavioral profiling, targeted behavioral advertising, or tracking of minors across third-party websites.
Parental Rights: Parents and legal guardians have the right to inspect, correct, or request deletion of their child’s stored personal records at any time.

Third-Party Disclosure & Non-Sale of Data

We enforce a zero-tolerance policy against selling or renting candidate data to third-party marketing companies.

No Sale of Personal Data: We have never sold, rented, leased, or monetized student records or contact information, and we will never do so.
Trusted Infrastructure Partners: Data is shared strictly with essential service providers bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements: (a) Cloud hosting & databases, (b) TRAI-approved DLT SMS gateways for transactional OTPs, and (c) RBI-authorized PCI-DSS payment aggregators (Razorpay).
Legal & Regulatory Compliance: We may disclose personal data only when required by applicable law, court order, or official governmental directive in connection with fraud prevention or statutory audits.

Data Retention & Google Play Account Deletion Policy

In compliance with Google Play Store User Data Safety rules, users can permanently delete their account and associated records.

What Data is Deleted: Upon verification of your request, your profile details (student name, parent name, mobile number, email, class, district), login credentials, test attempt responses, and practice logs are permanently purged from active production databases.
Statutory Financial Retention: In accordance with Indian taxation and corporate compliance laws (GST & Income Tax regulations), fee payment invoices, transaction reference IDs, and financial ledger audit trails are retained for the legally mandated period (up to 7 years) and cannot be erased immediately.
Processing Turnaround: Deletion requests are processed within 14 to 30 calendar days. A formal confirmation notice is sent to your registered contact channel.
